Jona Sophie Ehrlich Bsc, BA, MSc.

Clinical Psychologist, Educator

A warm welcome. My name is Jona Sophie Ehrlich.

About my approach
At Mittelpunkt Psyche, I offer appointments for clinical psychological treatment. It is important to me to offer a therapeutic relationship characterised by appreciation and acceptance. Furthermore, I believe it is essential to take a science-based approach to treatment. This means using methods that have been proven to be effective. I take care to find individual approaches in order to respond to current wishes and needs. My approach is resource-oriented and I also use creative or playful methods when necessary.
In my view, the body also plays an important role in the course of treatment. As Freud said: ‘The ego is, above all, a bodily ego’ (Sigmund Freud). Curiosity about oneself and the world can open up new perspectives and ease psychological suffering. Finding a good connection to one’s own body can be helpful in this process.
‘Action is healing’ is another core principle of my approach (Elsa Gindler). We talk about the past, present and future – but we also turn our attention to ways in which changes can be felt in our own lives through action.
In addition to my work at Mittelpunkt Psyche, I am also involved in a project called Hometreatment at the Gesellschaft zur Förderung seelischer Gesundheit (GFSG) (Society for the Improvement of Mental Health). Through my work in the Hometreatment team, I have gained experience with children, adolescents and their families, which is why I place a special focus on this area.

Personal information
I am originally from Carinthia and moved to Styria in 2013. I completed my studies in (clinical) psychology and pedagogy in Graz. Over the years, Graz has become my adopted hometown. I live here with my partner and our two cats. For my professional development, I am currently pursuing further education for psychotherapy in the psychoanalytical-psychodynamic cluster (concentrative movement therapy).

I look forward to getting to know you.
