Warm welcome!

My name is Carina Schlintl. I am pleased to be able to contribute my diverse professional experience from clinical, labor-market–related, and research contexts to my independent work as a Clinical Psychologist at Mittelpunkt Psyche.

In my work as a clinical psychologist, I see myself as a supporter, companion, and motivator when you are confronted with challenging life situations, emotions, or recurring patterns. In counselling and treatment, I use scientifically grounded methods from various psychological and therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy as well as body-oriented and systemic approaches. These methods aim to strengthen you in the sense of “helping you to help yourself.”

It is important to me to view each person as a whole and in their uniqueness: from current thoughts, feelings, and experiences, to individual biography and social norms, and including the body, which is closely connected to the psyche. This holistic perspective allows us to develop solutions together that truly fit your life. A protected and trusting setting is, of course, essential (as a clinical psychologist, I am bound by professional confidentiality; §37 Psychologists Act 2013). My work is guided by a respectful, resource-oriented approach at eye level, intended to help activate your individual strengths, coping strategies, and available resources so that you can gradually rediscover more ease and enjoyment in everyday life.

Finally, a little about me personally: I was born in Graz in 1990 and live in the Graz-Umgebung district with my partner and our son. In my free time, I enjoy being in nature and find balance through walking, gardening, and spending time with friends.
